A Church for Students

Students searching for a church want a place where they can grow in faith while navigating the realities of school, work, and constant change. Here in the Savannah and Statesboro area, we welcome students from SCAD, Georgia Southern University, Savannah State University, South University, Georgia Tech-Savannah, Ogeechee Technical College, Savannah Technical College, and the local high schools. Many of our young parishioners attend these schools, and they find in the Church a steady anchor amid the pressure of academic life.

A church for students should also be a place where questions are welcomed and honest learning is valued. Students want depth, not shallow answers. They need a community that helps them build habits of prayer, study, and service that will last a lifetime, no matter where their education or future career takes them.

Why the Orthodox Church

The Orthodox Church offers students a spiritual home shaped by ancient wisdom, steady worship, and a supportive, multigenerational community. Its teachings help young people form strong moral foundations and stay centered in Christ as they navigate a world filled with constant noise and confusion. Many students appreciate the depth, beauty, and stability they find in Orthodox prayer.

Becoming Orthodox gives students a place to grow in Christ during one of the most important seasons of their lives. The Church provides spiritual structure, mentorship, confession, and a welcoming community that helps them stay rooted in faith while studying in Savannah or Statesboro. It becomes a true home away from home.
