We’re Glad You’re Here

Welcome Home.

We are so glad you joined us for worship at St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church. The Divine Liturgy may have felt ancient, beautiful, but perhaps a little unfamiliar and that is all right. Everything you experienced comes from a living tradition that has been handed down in the Church since the time of the Apostles.

Orthodoxy is not a new version of Christianity but the fullness of the faith preserved through prayer, worship, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We hope your visit gave you a glimpse of that sacred continuity and the peace that comes from standing in the presence of God.

What You Experienced in the Liturgy

The Divine Liturgy is the heart of Orthodox worship. Every movement, prayer, and hymn proclaims Christ’s victory over death and our participation in His Kingdom.
The Liturgy is not a performance but a shared prayer in which heaven and earth are united in worship.
